Welcome to
My name is Ryan Opp. I am hoping to land a job one day making video games. This website is where you can download some of my creations. Have fun. Tell your friends. Let me know what you think (my email is in the Those Cluckin' Wizards ReadMe file, and I can also be messaged on Facebook and Allegro.cc). Send me your maps and high scores.
So without further ado, here are the...
Games
All games are for Windows.
Employers! This is the flagship game of the site as it shows my C++ skills and is very complex! Please check it out!
A super-fun shooter game for 1-32 players. Take control of a powerful wizard and turn your rivals into chickens! Features 3D physics, artificial inteligence, a map editor, and more! Made with C++, Allegro, and Winsock.
A truly addicting Flash game. Guide your gold-mining bear through the dangerous mine collecting keys and pick-axes. Don't get squished by falling rocks.
A Flash Minesweeper clone with a twist. The panels are now triangles with 12 adjacent panels instead of 8!
Just what it says it is: a Sudoku solver made with Flash.
Artsy Stuff
Here are some art things I've done that I'm proud of.
-
Art Portfolio
Here are some art pieces I've done over the years using various programs or drawing.
-
Aardvarks in Space Commercial
This is a Lightwave 3D animation with some space combat. If you don't have a Flash player on your computer, run it in your Internet browser.
-
Knight vs. Dragon
This is a 3D Studio Max animation in which a knight cleverly defeats a dragon. The stress was on the animation, not the model quality, so the characters are just basic shapes. If you don't have a Flash player on your computer, run it in your Internet browser.
-
The Happy Birthday Fairy E-Card
If you don't know the story behind this one, ask me about it sometime, but for legal reasons, I won't post it here.
-
Unreal Tournament 2004 Level: Shuttle Run
I took a class in the Unreal Editor, and this was my level, which was the best in the class. It features a moving subway train, an anti-gravity room, heightmap terrain, jump pads, transporters, and more.
The Written Word (Sometimes Sung)
Here are some poems, songs, and documents that have flowed from my proverbial pen.
-
We Shall Go On Together
This is a Bombadil-ish love poem. Is it sappy and childish? Yes, but it was published in a book! I'm famous!
-
Fly Away Songbird
This is the break-up poem. It's very sad, but sporting some lovely iambic quadrameter.
-
When You Danced With Me
This is my a capella Do-Wop song. Please judge it by those standards whether you like that style or not, and it will get stuck in your head all day. Sheet music available on request.

The Hedgehog Song (Why the Hedgehog Can Never Be Buggered at All)
Inspired by Terry Pratchett and full of puns, this is a completely inappropriate drinking song to be sung in disreputable establishments most likely after intoxication. The author does not condone carnal inter-species relationships, unless of course you're stuck on a boat and all the women are ugly, and the men are your brothers. I mean, you've got to have standards. So then, what choice do you have? So get over your prudish inhibitions, clink your glass with your neighbor, and let loose a rousing, "THE SPINES ON ITS BACK...!" Words can be found here. A note on the many versions of this song and why mine is the best can be found here.

Mordheim Rewrite Articles
Mordheim is a tabletop miniatures game that is based on fan-created rules. This has led to the game becoming almost incoherently fragmented and at times broken over the years. I undertook a massive, several-hundred-page rewrite and compilation of the system and it is the best on the internet to date. This compendium of articles shows that I can balance and streamline a complicated game system.
